Blackwell awarded tender as a preferred supplier for Higher Education libraries
July 24th 2009 - Blackwell is delighted to announce it has been awarded the tender to supply Higher Education libraries throughout England.
As one of the preferred suppliers, Blackwell will supply English language books, standing orders, eBooks, out of print and audio-visual materials to colleges and universities in the tender worth up to £35m per annum. Houtschild, the Dutch based bookseller who are part of the Blackwell Group, is also one of the preferred suppliers for European language material. Blackwell is in a unique position to deliver the complete book supply solution following the integration of its library supply and retail channels. Its expertise in both areas of the business will enable Blackwell to provide the very best service to the academic community.

Houtschild to supply the European Commission
May 1st 2009 – For years and years Houtschild International Booksellers have supplied the European Commission with books published in the Netherlands, but now we have been selected as the single supplier for Monographs and Standing Orders from the Benelux, France and Central Europe, including Germany.
Houtschild successful in tender Ministry of Health, Environment and Rural Affairs
Houtschild to supply eleven Dutch ministries
27 May 2008 - Following a successful bid in a European tender to supply Dutch government bodies, Houtschild International Booksellers has been named as a preferred supplier of journals, standing orders and books.
The estimated total value of the tender - divided over 3 Lots - is in the region of € 9 m per annum. Houtschild already supplies a number of these ministries. Director Olwyn Cross is delighted with the result.
